FTGW series full traction joints are made of electrolytic copper of more than 99.5% purity. They are the ideal choice for full traction splicing of contact wires with cross sections from 100 to 150 mm2 and diameters from 11.8 to 14.5 mm in applications on overhead railway lines up to 180 km/h speed and on lower speed lines with high current draw, such as slope lines. Thanks to their special shaped profile, these joints are able to join and connect a new contact wire with a worn one, avoiding manual operations of tapering new wires and ensuring a uniform and continuous running area for the train pantograph.
